PETER ROGER ROBINSON was born in Virginia and studied medicine at the Medical College of Virginia. He married MARY ANN CARLTON of Virginia. They later moved from Virginia to Alabama. SARAH ANN had a sister, Jane Robinson, who married Jack Edwards and lived in Whitehouse, Texas. Jane and Jack Edwards are buried at Whitt, Texas, near Weatherford. Another sister, Dorothy Robinson, never married. John Robinson had a son named John Robinson. The younger John Robinson had a business; he got in hard circumstances and committed suicide. ROBINSON Deed 1834 Green County, Georgia ROBINSON to the Georgia Rail Road Company Georgia Green County This Indenture made this second day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four between PETER R. ROBINSON of said county of the one part and the Georgia Rail Road Company of the other part Witnesseth that he saw PETER R. ROBINSON for and in consideration of running their contemplated Rail Road on and along his land as well as in consideration of the sum of five dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained and sold and doth by these presents give grant bargain and sell unto the said Georgia Rail Road Company Their successors and assigns the right of way over which to pass at all times by themselves Directors officers Agents servants Hirelings in any manner they may think proper and particularly for the purpose of running executing and establishing thereon a Rail Road with double tract and turn outs or with single tract and turn outs as many at all times be at the discretion of said company pursuant to a charter of incorporation granted said company. the twenty first day of December Eighteen hundred thirty three and to this end the limits of said of Way of the said Rail Roads when completed and to extend in length through the whole tract of land owned and claimed by the said PETER R. ROBINSON situate lying and being in the said County adjoining lands of James Carleton and Jesse Asbury whereon said PETER R. ROBINSON now resides and running in seven directions through said tract of land as said Georgia Rail Road Company by their Agents managers or Workmen shall think best suited for the purpose of locating and establishing their said Works and connected with the said right of way the said Company shall have the right to cut down and remove all such timber or other growth on each side of said road as would by falling on or shading the same injure the rails or other parts of said Road. Together with all and singular the rights and members and appurtenances to the said strip tract or parcel of land being belonging or in any wise appertaining and more especially the right of way over the same to have and to hold the same unto the said Georgia Rail Road Company their successors and assigns to their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple upon condition and it is expressly understood that should the said Rail Road Contemplated as aforesaid be not run located and established on and along said strip tract or parcel of land described in the above and foregoing Indenture then said Indenture is to be wholly null and void and of us effect and the said PETER R. ROBINSON for himself his heirs and assigns and said bargained premises unto the said Georgia Rail Road Company their successors and assigns will warrant and defend the title thereof against the claims of all persons whatsoever by virtue of these promises. Bentley Judge of Probate Court Coosa Co., the petition of the under signed James Wesley Roberson respectfully represents that PETER R. ROBERSON departed this life at the residence of John Edwards on or about the day of 1867 (Probably transposed & should read 1876) leaving no last will or testament So far as our petitioner knows or believes & that his death was known more than 15 days before this day; and this petition further states that the said PETER R. ROBERTSON was at the time of his death an inhabitant of this County Coosa in this State consisting chiefly of lands in this and Tallapoosa Co., Ala. Mules, Horses, Cattles, Hogs, Corn farm produce & farming implements males & accounts. All of said real and personal estate being estimated to be worth about $3,000.00 three thousand dollars and probably not more that the names residence ages and condition of the heirs & distributes of the Estate of the said decedent so far as your petition knows or believes are as follows. To Wit-- The widow who is now dead. The following children John Archy Roberson, James T. Roberson, Jane Edwards wife of J. F. Edwards, Dorothy Roberson, Ann Bryant wife of J. J. Bryant & the following grand children: James Wesley Robertson only child of Wesley Roberson, John R. & D. Roberson over 21, children of William Roberson deceased also the following grandchildren: Roger Milner, Aline Milner & Bede Milner, Molli Milner, Archa Milner, Zadie Milner. That no one entitled to Adms. on said estate has administered said estate & they all declined to do so & it is necessary that the same be administered that of our petition being of said deceased a Grandson. Father of the petitioner being dead & inhabitant of this State above the age of 21 years & believing that the said estate should be immediately administered to the end that the said property may be collected & preserved for those who shall appear to have a legal right or interest therein does therefore by virtue of his right under the State pray that of our Honor will grant Letters of administration to J. E. Pand Sheriff of Coosa County on said estate to administer the same upon his entering into bank in such sum as required by the Statue & with such securities as shall be appraised by your Honor. J.
