John Hannon & Grace ?Hardey

According to Probate Proceedings https://www.ancestry.com/wiki/index.php?title=Probate "bondsmen were usually relatives or family friends until recently, when bonding companies replaced personal sureties. If the wife is executrix, the bondsmen will usually be her relatives...Bondsmen are usually relatives who are willing to stand the risks and who have some some leverage over the persons they guarantee. Where her maiden surname is unknown, look carefully at the names of the bondsmen."

According to https://www.reference.com/family/immediate-family-8b7b536e2043e962 Next of Kin also known as Immediate Family is "usually defined as one's spouse, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, siblings and immediate in-laws (mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law and sister-in-law)."

At this time it is not proven that JOHN HANNON/HANNAN was the son of Alexander Hanna & his wife Mary ?Warren. He may have been one of the under aged children mentioned in Alexander’s inventory. JOHN named a son Walter Warren Hannon and had ties to the Scroggins family as it appears Alexander & Mary did. Also John Hannon, son of JOHN HANNON, named a daughter Mary Warren Hannon - carrying the Warren name down further in their family lineage. The last name of GRACE is unknown, JOHN's wife GRACE was Executrix, and Nearest a Kin in 1769 was Mary Hardey and Mary Linder Hardey (meaning her kin - not his). In the 1772 document her Sureties were George Hargraves and Henry ?Auton, Jr.  Possibly all relatives of Grace.

At the request of John Scroggin of Charles County, a brand mark was recorded for JOHN HANNA on September 20, 1738.

[Note by Dianne - John Scroggin’s brother George married Elizabeth Warren.  Listed in Inventory of Alexander Hanna 1738 - Thomas Warren and Humphrey Warren were listed as next of kin, George Scroggins (who married a Elizabeth Warren - sister of Thomas, Barton, & Humphrey Warren) & Barton Warren were listed as sureties. This indicates a strong Warren connection.]
