Dozier, Leonard...was the son of the immigrant Frenchman, LEONARD DOZIER (16??-1693), who settled in Westmoreland County; his naturalization certificate dated 28 January 1684 is of record in

Westmoreland  County  Record Book 1723-1746,  p.  147.

 Vol  1  p. 81    p. 55 [25 March 1692] Order is  granted  LEONARD

DOSIER against the sheriff for that hee had not Jane Collinsworth to answer the suit of LEONARD DOZIER.  Attachment is granted  the sheriff against Collinsworth's estate.

        p.  91     p.  61a [25 May  1692]   Judgment  is  granted LEONARD  DOZIER  against  Jane  Collinsworth  executrix  of  Tho. Collinsworth for 190 pounds of tobacco.

  Vol  2   p. 46      p 100 [26 July 1693]  Upon  the  petition  of ELIZA.   DOZIER  relect  of  LEONARD  DOZIER,  Administration  is granted  her  of her husband's estate, &  Richd.  Dozier,  Thomas Browning, together with ELIZA. have given bond for performance of the same.

          Ordered that ELIZA. doe return a true inventory of  the estate.

          Ordered  that Mr. John Sterman, Patrick Spence &  Jacob Rany doe appraise the estate.

          p.  53      p. 105a [27 Sept. 1693]   ELIZABETH  DOZIER relect  & administratrix of LEONARD DOZIER returned an  inventory of  the estate of her husband, an appraisement whereof  was  also returned.
