NOEL TURNER is best known as a soldier of the Revolutionary War. One night while his regiment camped on the land of another Turner, he met Mr. Turner's daughter, SARAH. NOEL ask SARAH to wait and marry him. After the war was over, he returned and they were married. They moved to Mobile, Alabama, where they are both buried. Sarah Turner’s father had to be there before 1779, yet after February 1767 – Thomas only one that fits & his wife lists married daughters Sarah Turner & Mary Turner in her will. I think Thomas Turner is old enough to be Sarah’s father if he was old enough to get plat November 1767. Noel Turner’s brothers John Jr. & William both married women by the name of Mary – wonder if either could have been Sarah’s sister.
