MARY PATTERSON 8 March 1782, d. Wed Nov. 2, 1836 (Bible) (JOSHUA PARKER moved to Tenn. from N. C. The Parkers were first in Virginia. He came to Texas at an early date and received a Spanish land grant for the land where the city of Houston now stands. He came to Texas by boat on the Miss. River and fought with Indians on the way. He returned to Tenn., possibly Clarksville. (from Mrs. Amanda Burch Parker, wife of Robert Langsfore Parker, grandson of JOSHUA.) Ch. of JOSHUA and MARY, copied from Bible by Dr. Felix G. Parker:

Uriah Parker, b. 1 Feb. 1806

William S. Parker b. 12 Oct. 1807, d. Friday 16 Aug. 1878 near Texarkana, Ark., m. Josephine B. Rudolph 23 Nov. 1837 at Waverly. She was b. 14 Aug 1820, d. 9 Jan 1857. After her death William moved to a farm near Texarkana, Ark., probably near Rondea. He remarried and had two children, a son Gus Parker and a dau. He is buried there. Gus Parker visited McKinney, Texas. Wm. and Josephine had 4 sons all born in Waverly, Tenn.

John W. Parker, b. 24 Dec. 1809 (d. Parker, Texas)

Clark M. Parker, b. 25 July 1815 (lived at Clarksville, Tenn; a son of Clark was B. Parker of Waverly. Clark m. Matilda Summers, b. 17 Sep 1823)

Sallie G. Parker b. 8 March 1821, m. a Mc Murty. (One dau. Mary married a man named Pawley and lived in Paducah, Ky.)
